Fading Memories Cowl 2026 - Mosaic Knitting
Get ready for the annual knit along in June; a great class for those who are new or need a refresher on mosaic color work knitting.
This cowl was designed for the 2026 Do What You Love (formerly The Longest Day) campaign sponsored by Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) to raise funds and awareness for dementia research. For every pattern sold through July 31, 2026, $5 will be donated to Alzheimer’s research.
Learn how easy mosaic knitting really is, and learn the few rules for making your own designs. This project makes learning easy with a short repeat knit in the round.
Please purchase Pattern: Fading Memories Cowl 2026 by Ann Budd on Ravelry for $7.50, or in store. Pattern is adjustable for circumference and length, but more yarn is required for a larger cowl.
Yarn: Fingering/sock weight in 2 contrasting colors. 425 - 460 total yards, more used of the background color.
Needle size U.S. 4 circular with at least 16" total length. Pictured cowl is 23" circumference.
Stitch markers are needed. Highlighter tape for marking your rows is encouraged. You may also use your Knit Companion.
