Weave a Tea Towel on a Floor Loom



Using a pre-warped floor loom and boat shuttle, learn to weave a cotton tea towel.

Learn the basics of weaving using a floor loom.  No experience is needed, all yarn, equipment and tools are provided to complete the towel. 

Beginners will weave plain weave with a patterned border.
More advanced students may use the pattern for the whole towel if they choose.

The approximate finished size is 18" x 29" after washing and hemming.

Once complete, the student will take home their towel to hem by hand or machine and then wet finish; instructions for wet finishing the woven towel will be provided.


Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Previous weaving experience is not required.

Requirements: Ability to hand or machine stitch towel hems at home.

Instructor Bio: Tanya has been playing with fabric, thread and yarn for most of her life. Becoming a weaver brought those together happily as now she can create fabric out of yarn and thread.
