DRK Everyday sock
Learn to knit your own socks! These socks are knit from the toe up and come in 11 different sizes. Pattern is simple enough for an adventurous first time sock knitter. The ribbing helps to create a perfect fit and you can keep it interesting by adding color with contrasting toes and heels. You will learn basic sock construction, after thought heel, Turkish cast on for toe up socks and Judy’s surprisingly stretchy bind off. We will knit using the magic loop method
A mini skein works great for a toe of a different color.
SUGGESTED NEEDLES
US 1/2.25 mm - 32”/80 cm circular for Magic Loop
(Use the needle size you need to achieve gauge.)
NOTIONS
Removable/clip stitch markers, tapestry needle, row counter (recommended) and scissors.
GAUGE
34.25 sts & 44 rnds = 4” / 10 cm
Measured over k2, p2 ribbing in the round, after blocking.

| Requirements: | Please purchase the pattern DRK Everyday socks by Andrea Mowry for $7.00 from Ravelry in shop. Needle is circular US size 1 / 2.25 mm with 32 inch cable. Please bring removable stitch markers, tapestry needle, tape measure and scissors to class. 400 yards of any fingering yarn with nylon. I used Gusto Wool; Urth yarn would also be a good choice. You can use a mini skein for the toe to add a different color. |
