Hoodola Hood



This pattern is a fun knit for all, from fearless beginners to expert knitters looking for new design elements. This oversized hood is perfect for those of us who don't want their hair crushed by a hat in the winter.  It is also great for those grand kids!  The construction is unique and satisfying:  You will be learning all kinds of interesting techniques.  Come join us for this first class in the New Year.   

The construction is unique and satisfying:  It starts a the top with Judy's Magic Cast On, worked flat in stockinette down to the neck with shaping, then joined in the round and finished with ribbing until it is the perfect length for you.

You will also learn to do an I-cord casing. The I-cord tool not required but so fun to learn to use. 



Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: You will need know how to knit, purl, and bind off. Great next class after Beginning Knitting. You will learn to knit in the round along and simple shaping. Also, a great class for experienced knitters to learn a few different skills. You will learn to use an I-Cord Tool.
Requirements: Purchased pattern from Ravelry for $8.00. Hoodola by Laura Nelkin US 7 and US 6 Any worsted yarn. Sample made with Rois. Depending on size of yarn, you may need 1 or 2 skeins. Toddler size is the sample in shop. Stitch markers, daring needle and extra cables are also needed. You will start with 14" to a 24" cable. Please be sure to do a gauge swatch to determine what needle to use. I Cord tool not required but so fun to use.
