Weave a Rug with Fabric Strips - Rag Rug

This is a hands-on weaving class on a pre-warped floor loom. The project is to weave a rug using fabric strips that you provide. The completed rug will be approximately 28" x 40" with fringed ends.
The class consists of weaving a 28" x 40" rug on a pre-warped multi shaft floor loom using student provided fabric strips. The strips can be made from t-shirts, fabric remnants, an old sheet or can be purchased. Each rug takes approximately 110 linear yards of 2" wide fabric strips. The strips should be sewn, tied or otherwise connected together in segments of 20-25 linear yards.
Suggested width of strips is about 2", but it can vary depending on the look desired. Note: Using strips that are not 2" wide for weaving will vary the total length of strips required.
