Short Row Knitting



Learn and practice your short row knitting for those special projects you would like to make.  Learn about the several types of short rows, how they are different and how they look in different projects.  We will knit with cotton and make a flower shaped washcloth and table mat as a practice piece for experimenting with short row knitting.  This is an essential skill if you wish to knit the Butterfly shawl, and learn about shaping for all sorts of knitted projects like shaping specific areas of knitted garments, to make knitted animals and even to add ruffles to a project.


Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Must know knit and purl.
Requirements: Recommend a cotton worsted weight yarn like Cascade Nifty cotton and size U.S. 8 needles. You may use circular or straight needles. Stitch markers are always needed. Handouts provided with class.
