Free Tapestry Weave Along March



Bring your loom and weave on your own project while gaining lots of tips and tricks. Recommend "Tapestry Weaving" book by Kirsten Glasbrook available in the shop as pictured for a great learning sampler.  Be sure to speak with Barbara if you are just beginning your first project. This will be a recurring monthly get together for those interested in tapestry weaving. 
Get lots of tips for warping a tapestry loom, best tools and design ideas, and how to secure the weft when removing your piece from the loom.


Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Beginner to advanced are welcome to come work on your project. No prior weaving skill required. Learn what is best for warps and wefts and additional tapestry techniques to ensure straight edges. We also cover other weaving techniques that can be included in your work.
Requirements: Check with Dottie to see the small tapestry looms available for sale in the shop or bring your own. Scrap yarns can be used for your first sampler. Please bring darning needles, scissors, and book. A metal dinner fork often works well as a beater.
