Rigid Heddle Weaving with BarbaraP -January
Great first time weaving class. Please see Dottie about renting a loom if you would like to take a loom home to finish your project. Please see Barbara before class date to discuss your needs or project idea for the class. Weave on our loom or yours and create a lovely piece of fabric. Get lots of tips and tricks for successful warping. Beginners can learn to warp a loom and weave off a table runner by the end of the day. All skill levels are welcome more advanced weavers can try an additional technique like pick up, variable dent weaving, a color and weave pattern, or warping for specific patterns like hounds tooth or log cabin. Great tips for on the loom hem stitching. For the table runner you will need 2 skeins of Cascade Pima Cotton (approx. 400 yds). Please have them wound before class day.
We will warp the looms in the morning, please bring a lunch and drink, and weave in the afternoon. Our ending time is flexible.
