Free Zoom Loom Weave Along - Pumpkins and Spookley!



Be sure to see the fun samples on display at the shop.  Learn to weave on a pin loom and get loads of tips and tricks for assembling squares into all sorts of projects from little animals to afghans or garments. Makes great use of leftover yarns from other projects as each 4 inch square requires only 8 yards of yarn.

This is an all day ZOOM LOOM weave along! Come for little or stay while.  We will work on squares for making the pictured Spookley as seen in the popular children's book.  Then we can learn how make cute decorator pumpkins for our fall decorations. 
They even make great little gifts for your Halloween festivities. 

Get all the tips and tricks for weaving on a Zoom Loom, your squares come off the loom as a stable piece of fabric that won't unravel. Assemble your squares to make these cute pumpkins for your fall decorating or one of the many other projects on display. Each Spookley requires 6 squares, with extra green squares for leaves.  Each round pumpkin requires 3 squares.

Square pumpkin requires a small block of foam help it keep its square shape. We will also use small amounts of fiber fill for all the pumpkins.

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: All skill levels welcome. No prior weaving experience necessary. We will cover avoiding mistakes and the best method for assembling squares into usable items.
Requirements: Please purchase a Zoom Loom Kit, or bring your own pin loom with a weaving needle, yarns, locking stitch markers for holding squares in place for stitching together, and a darning needle. A small crochet hook is helpful and metal dinner fork for packing in the weft while weaving. Bring extra yarn, for making a stem or leaves for you pumpkins. We can also embroider faces for a Jack-o-Lantern. Each Spookley requires 6 squares, with extra green squares for leaves. Each round pumpkin requires 3 squares. Square pumpkin requires a small block of foam to help it keep its square shape. We will also use small amounts of fiber fill for all the pumpkins.
