Crochet Granny Hexi Cardi with Barb C
Come advance your basic granny square skills into making a granny hexagon motif that grows into a cardigan. The pattern has both a chart and written instructions. This is a great way to make that transition from a basic granny square into a garment. While the pattern itself calls for DK weight yarn and an I 5.5mm hook, you can adjust it to any weight that you want to use and an appropriately sized hook.
This project is an excellent way to play with color. Many hexi cardis are made using gradient cakes or by striping the yarn. The great thing is that this is customizable to any size. The yardage varies by size choice but the sample used about 900-1000 yards of dk weight yarn using an I (5.5mm) hook.
