Mini Sock Ornament

Knit a mini sock or a wee elf sock as an ornament, key chain fob, brooch, or part of a garland! How cute! Learn some basics about sock knitting and using double pointed needles. You can make dozens before the holidays.
Use them as decorations, to dress up a gift or use as a fob on your sock knitting project bag! Great use of leftover project yarn,use any weight you are comfortable knitting from sock weight to worsted. Great item to use as a tiny gift bag for your special group of knitting friends.

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Must know knit and purl and knitting in the round. We will use double pointed needles since these socks are knit in the round and are so tiny. We will cover basic sock construction on a very small number of stitches.
Requirements: Any size yarns you are comfortable using with appropriate dpns (set of 4) in sizes for the yarn selected. You can download your own pattern for a mini sock or one will be provided in class. Please avoid very dark or fuzzy yarns. Stitch markers are a must, and a darning needle for weaving in ends. A small crochet hook is helpful for picking up stitches.
