Tapestry Weave Along-August

Bring your loom and weave on your own project while gaining lots of tips and tricks. Recommend "Tapestry Weaving" book by Kirsten Glasbrook available in the shop as pictured.  Be sure to speak with Barbara if you are just beginning your first project. This will be a recurring monthly get together for those interested in tapestry weaving.
Get lots of tips for warping a tapestry loom, best tools and design ideas, and how to secure the weft when removing your piece from the loom.  We also cover additional techniques and best practices.

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: No prior weaving skill required.
Requirements: Check with Dottie to see the small tapestry looms available for sale in the shop. Tapestry warp should be an 8/4 cotton rug warp or seine twine, (see Barbara for more info). Bring yarns for weft, tapestry book, a tapestry needle and a metal table fork as a beater. A small piece of rubber shelf liner is often helpful to keep the loom still on the table.
