Open Heart Mesh Shawl or Scarf



Learn this unique heart shaped mesh stitch pattern while making a light weight shawl or scarf perfect for Valentines Day.  Be sure to look closely at the right side of the shawl on display in the shop.  We will learn a knitted cast on, and best tips for life lines in your knitting.
Display shawl was knit with Malabrigo Arroyo, sport weight on a size size 5 needle. This very large shawl used 1200 yards.  You would use at least 425 yds for a scarf. Any weight yarn may be used with a needle size appropriate for the yarn. Pattern is provided with class. We will use a small amount of yarn to practice the unique stitch in class and make a sample swatch.  Always bring stitch markers to class.
