Broomstick Lace Scarf/Cowl

Make a cowl length or full length scarf in this unique lace stitch. A quick project for learning this fun technique. A lightweight fashion accessory perfect for Florida. This is a crochet stitch that can be incorporated into any project like garments, hats, etc., or even as a trim on a knitted project.
Class sample cowl was made using one skein of Cascade Eco Alpaca worsted weight and size H hook.
Additional sample made with Cascade Pima Cotton.
Cowl will use about 220 yards, a full length scarf will use about 420 yds.
Yarn amounts may vary depending on size of the "broomstick" used.
Recommend a size US 35 Plastic Knitting Needle as a broomstick for your first foray into this fun lace.
Bring a crochet hook appropriate for the size yarn selected.
Please bring stitch markers to class.
