Christmas Stocking
This project can easily be customized to other sizes. Crochet in the round, increase, decrease, short row heel, lace, and decorations. Great next step project for learning to crochet in the round.
Stocking sample - body of the stocking was made using a worsted weight yarn held double. (Wool or acrylic is fine) Requires at least 500 yds. Crochet hook size J.
Approx. 100 yards for different color heel and toe.
All decoration was additional worsted weight yarn held single on a size H crochet hook. Cuff can be worked plain or in lace work. Additional yarn for adding embroidered name on a plain cuff.
Stitch markers are a must for this project.
Pattern and schematic provided in class. Pattern is not strictly followed to allow for the better shaping of the foot and ankle.
