Beginner Cable Hat
A great next step for new knitters. Hat is knit in the round with easy cabling and makes a great accessory to go with your beginner scarf. Make it with or without a pompom. We will cover a knitted cast on, knitting in the round, ribbing, cabling, decreases and making and attaching an optional pom pom. We can also cover basic chart reading. Most student from this class have gone on to make several of these hats!
Worsted weight yarn at least 200 yards, acrylic or wool or wool blend. Avoid colors that are too dark or variegated to see the cable.
Needles - size 7 and 9 in circular 16" , shorts. Also size 9 DPNs. (double pointed needles)
Cable needle that is a smaller size than the size 9 knitting needles. Stitch markers are a must.
Pattern is provided with class.
