Join us to weave, knit, or crochet our latest donation projects. We always accept hats, scarves, and mittens/gloves for children and adults; these will go to The Agape Center here in Brevard or to a recovery shelter in Louisville, KY. We also are starting a collection of Faye's Bears that will be donated to first responders who can provide comfort in situations involving children.

Meet with us the first Saturday of every month for a new Granny Square. We will be using the book, "A Modern Guide to Granny Squares" by Celine Semaan & Leonie Morgan. Learn a new square each month and explore different ideas of what to do with your granny squares. They are definitely back in fashion and popping up everywhere. The options are endless.

Intarsia is a skill that knitters love to have in their knitting bag of tricks. Being able to draw a picture into your fabric is a magical skill to have. Learn the basics for working intarsia, cleaning up the color changes, how to know where to begin your colorwork, and how to read a color chart. Must be very comfortable with knitting and purling and made multiple types of projects. This is an advanced beginner technique.

Behind the Seams Knitting (and sometimes crocheting) for Hollywood sounds like every crafters dream job ? and in many ways it can be! But there is a lot that goes on in Hollywood to make movie magic happen. Hear some behind the ?seams? stories of creating pieces for the film industry as well as the process I go through when collaborating with costume and fashion designers. Together we work to design wardrobe pieces worthy of being on the silver screen. Join me as I talk about some of the projects I have worked on - Stranger Things, The Mindy Project, Annabelle Comes Home, Hocus Pocus 2 - just to name a few!) It?s a stressful job, but a rewarding process and a challenge that I absolutely love! 1-hour lecture presentation Free if you take a class earlier in the day from me, otherwise I charge $15 per person for the hour.

IDuplicate Stitch Drawing on top of your St. st. fabric with a needle and yarn is like painting a picture. You can create endless motifs of color and graphics once you have mastered duplicate stitch. This technique is also a wonderful skill to have if you need to fix a mistake in fair isle. Once you know how to work duplicate stitch, the options are endless for how this technique can be applied to your knitting! The main feature of these little socks is their bobble edge, so unique. They are knit in the round, from the cuff down and they feature a ribbed cable and a lace motif on the top of the foot.

Gloam is a boxy, versatile cardigan featuring easy knit and purl texture. Knit in pieces, this cardi is a fun and relaxing knit. Easily customize yours by adjusting the length, working stripes or a fade, or color-blocking! This sweater is knit flat from the top down in pieces and seamed at the shoulders and sides. The sleeves are then picked up and worked in the round. Finally, the front band is picked up and worked. Circular needles are recommended to accommodate the large stitch count and are needed for the sleeves. The cardigan is designed to be worn with 15-20" of positive ease at the bust, including the front bands. The sleeve circumference is designed to fit with 8-12" of positive ease. Please note that the texture pattern is charted only. It is quite simple, and a great chart for beginners to follow!

Generously sized, asymmetrical cowl worked on the bias with 3 different stitch patterns -- a great way to show off a variegated colorway on a semi-solid background and add a bit of glam rock to your neck and shoulders. The neckline is even engineered to taper a bit towards the neck to reduce the amount of bulk at the neck but still fit easily over your head. There are 2 options for finishing the cowl: It may be sewn together at the edges, or you can add buttons and after-thought buttonholes with an easy crochet loop when the piece is finished.

An easy to learn lace pattern with a crescent shape, this scarf can be worn wrapped around the neck or simply draped over the shoulders as a shawlette. The scarf is knit end to end with an easy mesh pattern separated by several rows of garter stitch, then scarf is turned 90 degrees to pick up stitches along the edge for adding the lace border.
