Join your favorite designers and creators for a series of online gatherings with Longmont Yarn Shoppe!

Launched in May 2020, Chats are one-hour Zoom sessions with special guests joining us to give a peek into their world. These designers & creators will discuss their unique path, creative processes, favorite techniques, latest projects, or whatever is inspiring them now. From fixing necklines to estimating yardage to ways to make your stitches sing she’s got it covered. She’s a high energy, passionate teacher who loves to laugh in class. Join Cori as she covers Tips from A-Z and Tricks from 1-50 (or well, whatever we can fit in an hour). We'll also add a new technique through Cori's demo of the 2 Color Cast-on, an easy, decorative cast on to be added to any knitter’s repertoire. This Chat will be a fun way to spend an hour learning and it might even inspire you to fix a problem knit or WIP!

Woolly World of Westknits!

Join Stephen as he welcomes you into his colorful Wooly World of Westknits. In this 1 hour 15 minute presentation, Stephen will discuss how he chooses his color palettes and share secrets for how to make your palettes pop. This live presentation hosted on Zoom will be a visual feast for the eyes while Stephen gives you an up-close look at his newest designs along with the current, completed MKAL. We will discuss how to create successful color palettes for Marled knitting, Faded knitting, and graphic stripes and slip stitches. You will learn a few of Stephen’s color-changing tricks and color planning strategies to gain more confidence with your own knitting projects.

Weave a Tea Towel on a multi-shaft floor loom

Cost: $ 50

Using a pre-warped floor loom and boat shuttle, weave a cotton tea towel. The approximate finished size is 16" x 26" before washing. When complete and off the loom, take the towel home to hem by hand or sewing machine.

Calling all Angles Scarf

Cost: $ 45

A modular knit scarf that is a definite one of a kind and a very interesting knit! The scarf is constructed by building each block from a previous block.

Flower felted coasters

Cost: $ 50

Needle felt Flowers on 4 felted Coasters. Make 4 different flowers or Make them all the same. Fun little project. Also makes great Christmas gifts.
